Quiet Voices

Respect the Work

See my posts on practices in republishing public domain works, and on the importance of honoring the original authors of creative works:

Quiet Voices, One Hundred Year Horizons

OHYH Publishing is pleased to launch our Quiet Voices series. We are looking forward to finding works from authors whose voices may not be heard as distinctly as others, and making them available to modern readers. We will be featuring women authors primarily, but also minority authors who may not have had equal access to major publishing houses in their lifetimes.

Our goal is to provide high fidelity editions of these works, authentic recreations for print or electronic format. We hope to provide books whose reading environment will be superior to digitally-rendered versions obtained by simply using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology on the material, or by binding together digital images of pages from original works.

The first book published in the Quiet Voices series is The Corner Stone (Annotated) originally published in 1915 by Margaret Hill McCarter, illustrated by J. Allen St. John. Available in paperback and Kindle editions.
